Steps

  1. Begin with a thorough consultation. Review the hair’s condition, previous colour, lightening and chemical services, and the desired result. This assessment determines the appropriate processing time and heat setting.
  2. At the basin, wash with Agi Amazon Deep Cleansing Shampoo using a flat handed shampoo technique. Leave the first shampoo on for 4–5 minutes, then rinse. Shampoo a second time and rinse immediately.
  3. Rinse thoroughly and towel dry to remove excess moisture.
  4. Apply Agi Amazon Intense Liss 3D Shine Straightening Treatment using a tint bowl and brush, beginning approximately 2mm from the roots and continuing through the mid lengths and ends. An applicator bottle can also be used through the lengths. Saturate the hair evenly without leaving it dripping, then comb through from roots to ends.
  5. Process according to the hair assessment:
  • Highly lightened or damaged hair: 50 minutes
  • Normal coloured hair in good condition: 70 minutes
  • Virgin or resistant hair: 90 minutes

6. Once processing is complete, rinse thoroughly for approximately 5–7 minutes until all treatment has been removed and the water runs clear.

7. Remove excess water and apply a small amount of Agi Amazon Conditioner through the mid lengths and ends. Work through the hair using circular motions, leave for 3–5 minutes, then rinse.

8. Towel dry thoroughly, then blow dry the hair completely. Use a paddle brush with downward movements for a smooth finish, or use a round brush if preferred.

9. Divide the hair into four sections.

10. Working with sections approximately 5mm thick, straighten using the Agi T8 Soft Close Iron. Pass the iron over each section approximately 7–14 times according to the condition and resistance of the hair. Resilient virgin hair may require 10–14 passes.
