Steps

1. Wash the hair twice with a clarifying or purifying shampoo to remove oil, residue and product build-up. Rinse thoroughly.
2. Blow dry the hair until it is completely dry.
3. Put on protective gloves and divide the hair into four sections.
4. Working in approximately 1.25cm sections, apply a small amount of PURC Brazilian Keratin Treatment 5% evenly from near the roots to the ends. Avoid applying directly to the scalp and do not oversaturate the hair.
5. Comb through with a wide tooth comb to distribute the treatment evenly and remove any excess product.
6. Cover the hair with a plastic cap. Process for approximately 20 minutes on wavy or finer hair and up to 30 minutes on thicker, curly hair. Comb through every 10 minutes.
7. Without rinsing, blow dry the hair completely in a well ventilated professional salon environment.
8. Divide the hair into thin sections and pass a flat iron over each section 7 to 10 times. Use approximately 150–205°C for finer or coloured hair and 205–230°C for thicker, healthy curly hair. Adjust the temperature and number of passes according to the hair’s condition, thickness and curl pattern.
9. Leave the treatment in the hair for 72 hours. During this period, avoid washing, tying, clipping or exposing the hair to moisture.
10. After 72 hours, wash with a suitable maintenance shampoo and conditioner. Use a moisturising hair mask once weekly to help preserve straightness, softness, shine and frizz control.
